@domi8022 hey ! So base strings in general do not have to be too long ! Just because the leading string is the string that looses the length because of the weaving. What I did was I wrapped the string around my wrist and then added around 5 ish to 6 inches to that! And that was just to account for the ties and the triangle ends. When making this (beautiful) pattern, I’d also suggest repeating rows 34-43 when you complete the pattern once through if you want it to fully wrap around your wrist !
