@inspiring Yes, you can do that. I added strings for a bracelet on the sides to close mine, but if you just want the envelope you'll need to sew up the sides. Also be sure to read the first comment where I explained how to make this

To make a custom sized envelope you can add as many rows as you want to the middle section, but to add base strings to make it wider the length needs to be less than 2x the height of the middle section.Maybe you could add like 4 extra knots over this rule but if it's too long the top flap will be too big to fit inside. I made a new pattern #138376 where you can make the length up to 3x the height of the middle section. ( Ignore this if you just want to follow the pattern without changing the size) |
