@GiuseppeK I actually can’t remember if it was the anniversary version, but I don’t think so! I didn’t even know there was a sequel!!!! I will definitely have to check for it somewhere someday!

The Bad Guys are funny! They aren’t novels, but are just so funny! Then there’s Anne of Green Gables, the original How to train your dragon series, the Secret garden, Alice in Wonderland, and Narnia! Another just ridiculous book I read last year was Pugs of the frozen north:} It’s a short and easy read, but an excellent and funny story.

While dusting off and rearranging the bookshelves a bit, I was reminded of when I (for the sake of impressing a certain someone and giving us something to discuss) read REBECCA by Daphne du Maurier. I had no expectations going into the Gothic romance novel, but once it really got rolling I was totally onboard as the twists kept coming.A young female protagonist tells us her rags-to-riches story through her whirlwind romance and marriage to wealthy widower Max, and coming to terms with what it means to be an aristocrat's trophy wife at his estate. But as she adjusts to her new role, she quickly learns that the titular first wife still haunts the place in all sorts of ways. Holes is a great book and a classic, the hardy boys are good (there's like 50 something books tho) dragon ops is good (there's 2 books) and scary stories for young foxes(2 books), the giver is really good (it's been a while since I read it tho) and where the red fern grows, it is so good but so sad (if you know you know)
