Luckily, the fox was able to slip into the shadows before any of the bleary-eyed guards got too close. Chalking it up to the apparent rodent problem that existed, the guards couldn’t care to put much thought into it; opting to return to their posts and resume dejectedly waiting for their shifts to be over.
