I try not to think of it as "cereal" whenever it's a staple on the continental breakfast spread. I prefer to think of it as froot, in its processed "loop" form. 👍

Lucky Charms™, which feature a mascot who tries in vain to keep kiddies from consuming his cereal.Trix™, with a mascot who wants nothing more than to have a share of the cereal, but mean kids refuse to allow him to partake (probably doing him a favor, though--a cursory glance at the ingredients make it plain to see that Trix™ aren't for ANYbody). Cocoa Puffs™, a mascot clearly with personality disorder and crippling addiction, to whom wicked enabling kids force feed him the product. That was three (victim of public education or not, I *can* count), so just throwin' in out there that I know for a fact that there used to be three Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ bakers, but in current era the roster has been reduced to one. What happened to the other two, and why aren't we being allowed to know? Three examples of the book being better than the movie...? |

1) The Hobbit, book by J.R.R. TolkienI have an innumerable amount of complaints concerning those movies, but we don't have all day. 2) The Seeker (2007), based off The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper I know they had to change some stuff in order to adapt it into a movie, but I don't think it was very well done. Had the potential to be a much better film. 3) 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (specifically the 1954 film, as I haven't seen any other adaptations). Book written by Jules Verne Kirk Douglas kind of ruined that movie I think. I don't expect many people to have seen that film, but I figured I'd throw it in here anyway. I'm not a huge fan of Jules Verne's writings, but I quite enjoyed the book for this one. Hope this one's interesting: Name 3 of your favorite cartoon characters... |

@Warhorse By THE HOBBIT movies, plural, does that include the animated version from back in the '70s? I was only dimly aware that THE HOBBIT got a live action movie some years back, and had no idea it somehow managed to be a TRILOGY (was there really *that* much story in the book...?).Well, long as we're here and no one else wanted to pounce on this round: Disney's Robin Hood, who I like to consider my spirit animal. Princess Jasmine ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Taarna The Tarakian (the HEAVY METAL movie has a special place in my memories; it was the first time I'd ever knowingly experienced a pirated film). Three times the movie was actually BETTER than the book...? |
