Still a 10. The show isn't for everybody, and I admit I'm a little miffed that they cut out my favorite part ("Growltiger's Last Stand") permanently. Now, if she isn't a Broadway/West End kind of girl at all, there are other entertainment venues to which I could treat her. I'd just have to make it a point not to absently hum "Mr. Mistoffelees" too loudly in her presence.

A 10, but s/he only speaks in rhyme...?

They're a four for me, personally. I sat through a Dr. Suess play once and I could barely do that for two hours, let alone do an entire relationship

They're a ten, but they are really bad at texting back quickly

Oof. Maybe a 5??

They're a ten but they HATE your favorite color. Like, can't stand anything that color and are physically repulsed when they see it.
(sorry that's the first thing I thought of 😭)

oof! that's hard! you see, I have nothing against you not liking my favourite color. but I fear I'm one of those weird people that are waaaaay too obsessed with their favourite colour(blue). my room decor is blue, my clothes and accessories are mostly blue, and i'm just obsessed with blue in general.

they're a 10, but they (idk how to say this properly) are super smug about their gender and make their whole entire personality, if that makes sense? for example if the person was a boy they'd be all " oh well as a man I'm not doing chores! i wouldn't be caught dead doing chores!" and if they were a girl they'd spend your whole entire paycheck on makeup and say "I'm just a girl".

Aw heck no- 4. It’s not okay to use your gender as an excuse to hold yourself above others and get out of the consequences of your actions. They’re a ten but they intentionally date people they believe to be below them in looks and/or personality

Still a 10, and if I'm understanding correctly, what else are they supposed to do? If they sincerely seek a romantic partner and insist only on a fellow "10," they'd A: be considered shallow and B: owing to how mathematics function, might have a difficult time finding their match, let alone their superior (especially for women--I'm reliably informed no man is a "10" in the first place). I'm more than introspective enough to acknowledge that I'm no prize myself, so if she'd be willing to give me a chance, odds are *I'd* be the one taking most of the heat in that hypothetical situation (constant reminders from the peanut gallery as to just how "out of my league" she is, as though that wouldn't be abundantly clear enough to me and insinuations that I must be tricking her somehow). So long as she can handle it, I'd be a trooper. Maybe the two of us can channel that old Bonnie Raitt tune "(Let's Give 'Em) Something to Talk About." ❤️

A 10, but absolutely does NOT dance...?

Ughhh the thing is, I don't dance either. But occasionally, I would want maybe just a short slow dance or something. Something super small. Its not a deal breaker, because I'd still be willing to date them. So Imma say still a 10.

They're a ten, but both of you have completely different sleep schedules

Yeah, there is something undeniably magical about a spontaneous slow dance to Waffle House jukebox.

@GiuseppeK Ah sorry for the poor wording- I meant it as in they intentionally date down to fuel their sense of superiority over others. Their intentions aren’t pure- they want to date down solely so that they look good in comparison to their significant other (idk if that makes any more sense lmao)

Hmm I’d say still a ten and maybe willing to give a second chance IF they truly show that they want to change and actually follow through. If they couldn’t follow through on plans simply because they’re really busy it’s forgivable (bc me too queen 😭) and we could find other ways to make time like late night texting or calling while working on other things. However, if it’s intentionally setting things up just to cancel then no thanks, someone else can have them lol. They’re a ten but can’t for one second let someone else win or let someone else’s opinion be voiced

@blackcat79 Thanks for the clarification. I suppose I'd still be a trooper about the situation (call me old fashioned, but I have absolutely no problem letting her be the pretty one irrespective of her motives), and so long as I'd still be receiving full boyfriend privileges, I'd just grin and ride things out for as long as I'd be tolerated. That's not to say I wouldn't frequently ponder if I was singled out for selection as a particularly challenging matchup.

Whether it would ever occur to her or not, my reputation would be liable to go up several notches in the estimation of her competitors. I have the dubious pleasure of occasionally overhearing the kinds of things huddles of ladies murmur amongst themselves regarding boys in that situation; wondering what it could possibly be that he has going for him--I wouldn't mind others making positive presumptions about my qualities or prowess. By the same token, these are often the same sort of gals who discuss visible panty line as though it's cancer... 🤔

[Re: "They’re a ten but can’t for one second let someone else win or let someone else’s opinion be voiced."]

I suppose it depends on how much she agrees with me (though not gonna hold my breath). Maybe a 6, but by the same token, I suppose I'm used to it (I attended university for a spell). Then again, I'd be curious to see how fate even brought us together for a first date--during my brief foray into the online dating scene, a depressing number of prospective matches made it abundantly clear that among the laundry list of attributes I needed to bring to the table, if I wasn't 110% onboard with her politics, I was to not even bother interacting.

It depends on what they think of your ex.
"Oof, my brother did that to you? I'm so sorry." Still a ten.
"Yeah, he's just like that sometimes." immediate zero

4- if you’re going to be in a relationship you need to respect the boundaries of your partner. They’re a ten but act very patronizing towards you, especially if you have differing beliefs on a particular matter
