@Lieke1982 that's normal for patterns where lots of knots go in the same direction like in this pattern. You seem to have found a very secure way of holding your bracelet down while tying, which is already very helpful. I recommend periodically moving the bracelet up a little and securing it in a way so that only a small portion of the bracelet can move around freely while tying.
