Hi! Welcome to my bio! I usually prefer alphas over normals, but it depends what kind of mood I’m in. Thank you to anyone who has posted a photo to one of my patterns, left a nice comment, or rated/loved one of my patterns.

Answers to your frequently asked questions:
How long should I cut my strings? For an alpha, cut your base strings the length you want your bracelet to be, plus the length of the ties. I like to use alphas I’ve made in the past to measure how long to cut my base strings. For a normal pattern, Megan Morris has a video for how to calculate the perfect length of strings. Here is the video https://youtu.be/M_K2iKeoq-A If you don’t want to follow that though, half of a wingspans length usually works fine.
What should I do if I cut one of my strings to short? Whether you need to replace a short leading string in an alpha or you cut one of your normal bracelet strings too short, here’s a video by Masha Knots for replacing them https://youtu.be/JuHDeuDHDlw
How do people make the bookmark tassel? Here’s a tutorial for the bookmark tassel by Nadiya’s Bracelets https://youtu.be/fn7LrytzBrQ
What do I do if I want to make a keychain or wall hanging with an odd number of strings? Nini Knots has a tutorial where she shows how to do it. She starts explaining the technique at around the 2 minute mark. Here is the video https://youtu.be/Frp6i6n_q0I
How do I get out of a bracelet slump? Watch bracelet related videos like string hauls, knot with me, bracelet tutorials, etc. Joining challenges on braceletbook is also super motivating. You can join official challenges, which are either hosted by a mod or an admin. You get rewards, which are the little numbers next to your avatar. Unofficial challenges are also super fun because you can win prizes like shoutouts in someone’s bio and/or someone makes one of your patterns.
What do I do when there is a color switch on the edge? When you have to switch colors on the edge string in an alpha, you basically do a normal color switch on the edge without using the flat alpha technique.
How do I clean up the backs of my alphas? @LillyGrace posted a video with tips about cleaning up the backs of your alphas. https://youtu.be/09V-jbn6zug However, as long as your strings aren’t coming out of the side of your alpha or anything, it’ll most likely be okay to cut the strings directly off. You can also tie a little knot if you’re worried, but it’s important to remember that bracelets are made almost 100% out of knots, so it’s not essential to secure them. I’ve heard people say that they’ve never had any issues with just directly cutting off the excess strings. If you still don’t like the way the backs of your alphas look though, you can also sew or hot glue a piece of felt or fabric to the back of your alpha.
