Thank you for your advices @halokiwi and @han2020 , I'm still experimenting with this, too 🙂 (I also found that I needed to pull them tighter than my normal knot tension!) It's just an unusual look that the little knots are not on the same side of the entire lenght of the "ribs".
@esomogyi Hi! I'm just working on this one and it's coming out ok for me. I think I find it best to keep each knot really tight to keep it tidy. I'll post a picture when I'm done!
@esomogyi I'm not sure if there is a specific technique. I think the colour change will always give a bit of an unevenness. I tried it out with just two strings where I did five fb knots and then five bf knots and I think it looks fine and it's not too noticeable.
This is a great design; unfortunately, the "ribs" get very messy when you change color / knot direction in row 12. 🙁 Neither the front, neither the backside looks right for me. 😢 Am I missing a technique I don't know about...?
