It’s been recommended to me to try and switch between your assignments (say two questions of science then do some math then go work on social studies) so you don’t get tired from working on something for too long. Generally, your brain gets tired of working on the same thing for more than about an hour so it’s helpful to switch things up. Haven’t actually tried it out yet but I definitely will when next year’s 5 AP courses sink their bloodthirsty claws into me 🥹

@blackcat79 You're reminding me of an enlightening conversation I was having with my favorite ex when she was a freshman at university (wouldn't do that shuffle myself until some years later), and she described the sheer number of her classmates who were abusing, without anything resembling a prescription, medications intended to treat attention-deficit disorders. The idea was to foster a laser-like focus on their studies (she was a good girl and never messed with that stuff herself, and never needed any additional discouragement from yours truly). I had to ask her to run all that by me again: Darlin', you're tellin' me that kids are doing drugs so they can do BETTER in school...? Wow--drugs really aren't cool, after all. |
