Way back in 8th grade someone texted me on the day of, asking if I wanted to go to the dance with them.. I managed to gaslight myself into thinking they were asking to carpool (we live really close to each other and we’d carpooled before) and asked if they needed a ride, saying I was leaving soon. They then were like no, you and me ig and I was like “oh, I already have a ride, thanks for asking!” Dang the mortification I felt reading that conversation over and being like oh wait a minute… At least I got out of it without having to straight up reject them because that wouldn’t have been fun 😭😭

I was at one of the football games at my school waiting for my friend to finish putting equipment away (we’re both student athletic trainers so we have to put all the med equipment away) and I was standing against the wall outside the training room juts on my phone. This really cute guy comes up to me and we start chatting a bit. I was super flustered cause I don’t normally get asked out like that but it was going well. He didn’t introduce himself at the beginning and once he realized he stuck out his hand for a handshake and says “my names Brandon by the way” and that just so happens to be my brothers name so I nonchalantly say back “uhhhh… that’s my brothers name.” We both cringe and he walks away. So yeah pretty big fumble on my part tbh. My friends have not let me live it down and they will just randomly turn to me and say “rHaT’s My BrOtHeRs NaMe.” I think I tried to find him on Instagram later that night but there were too many people named Brandon at his school.

One of my best moments was when I asked my crush to go to prom with me (we were friends at the time), and afterwards finding out he was telling people we were dating 😭 😭 😭 luckily everything worked out and we're dating now so maybe it was just a very backwards way to start dating???

@jameson007 that made me think of a time when this random guy came up to me and we started talking and he was like “ your so pretty, we should hang out more” and then he was like “oh btw I’m ___” and I told him my name and he was like “OMG THATS MY EXES NAME, still miss her “ 😭😭😭 like bro WHAT! Mind u, I was like 12 he was 15 and this was all at a church 😭

One for me was I was In a play and this kid who played Eric liked me and OBVIOUSLY the directors had to hate me and make me Ariel. UAGHAGG. We had to dance, hug, he had to pick me up, and we had to hold hands. Every girl at camp liked him besides me bc like perks of being Aroace ( u find it hard for ppl to be emotionality or physically attractive)
