A 1969 Dodge Polara with a police 440 Interceptor package under the hood. That was the fastest thing the California Highway Patrol had for the longest time; took 25 years and a Corvette engine to dethrone it on the track. Any off-limits locales on the planet you dream of touring if you had the opportunity? For instance, I'm fascinated by the island of Poveglia in Italy, and on more than one occasion I contemplated discreetly hiring a local fisherman if he'd be willing to sneak me to within swimming distance and returning to pick me up later. A big reason I've always nope-out other than the obvious illegality is that I was always in Venice in the dead of winter (brrr...). |
