@Emmaloves My imagination has definitely gotten worse as I’ve gotten older and I’ve fallen into the monotony of just trying to survive my schooling lol

@blackcat79 Haha fr! Also you seem so nice you js gotta put yourself out there. Ppl are unwilling to talk first cause often they're more shy, but if you say a small first hello, I'm sure they'd be open to having a chat and would honestly love you!

@Emmaloves Awww tyy 🥰 Yeah, the biggest part for me is going up to someone and starting a conversation- I feel like it always ends up feeling so awkward and I get too nervous to think of good conversation starters 😭

@blackcat79 I totally get that! It's kinda how I used to be, but I ended up doing a lot of residentials. On the first one I was so nervous I didn't talk to anyone and ended up pretty lonely for those 3 days and felt horrible. So on the next, I made a point to get stuck in and just say hello to people. It's obviously different when returning to familiar environments, like going back to school where everyone already knows each other, but in situations where everyone are strangers, most people are desperate for a friend lol. You don't have to be like a social leader but just get involved in lively conversations, people are more often than not happy to include you! Literally walking up and saying hello, complimenting things, exchanging names, honestly even talking about your commute/weather etc are all really good ways of getting yourself to be more comfortable to talk to people. But granted, I'm a bit older than you so maybe people in your year are kinda more immature/cliquey? I say this thinking of if you were to join extracurriculars outside of school or do residentials etc. However it does take practice, so don't beat yourself up if you're not perfect the first time!

@Emmaloves Seems like it’s all about the practice! I joined this one program at my school where you go into freshmen classes and do fun activities and talk to them, helping them acclimate to the school and have an upperclassman to look up to. I think it’ll definitely be good practice and I hope that it goes well!

@blackcat79 Omg I did a similar programme when I was in year 7, and I also signed up as a mentor when I was in year 13!! That does sound really awesome, so kind of you to give back to your school community 🙂 Let me know how it goes! And yes, deffo seems like a fantastic chance to practice, and it is all about the practice!

I love to read! I’m the strong willed one(meaning I will definitely tell you no)love drawing, not a morning person, extremely extroverted! Totally not obsessed with Transformers currently, super weird(in a good way!), love making new friends, will definitely be found inside with a pencil and sketchbook + music 24/7! Love pretty much any fantasy/sci-fi stuff as long as it’s not to weird, have tons of hobbies(check out my bio for more.) I have plenty of to-dos, “kids in public school unfortunately don’t have a great imagination, but there are exceptions, while homeschooled kids have amazing imagination, again there are exceptions!” Who said this you ask, me right now! I’m definitely chatting when ever I get the opportunity( which is not a lot😩) absolutely loyal!!! Very good at keeping secrets!!!!(example I still have a secret hidden since like 2021!🤣) love fall. And that’s me…there’s obviously more🤪! Check out my bio if you haven’t to learn more about me if you want!👍😊❤️
