@clean Yeah I’m glad I still have some time left! Unfortunately since my school always starts after Labor Day we end suuuuuper late (mid to late June) and then AP teachers are always on about how we’ve lost way too much time. Thus, it is decided that they need to make us learn units one and two ourselves over the summer 💔

@clean Weeeeeeelll it’s sort of on me for joining the science research program (I suppose I knew what I was signing up for, but doesn’t mean I won’t complain about it lol)

@blackcat79 school ended on june 26 for me, but my school district literally never gives you stuff over summer break unless you're failing and need to go to summer school. and dang, you're strong for doing a science research project!! 😭

@clean Honestly just enjoy your summer- my school always forgets the “break” part of summer break lol. Summer is supposed to be a reset time where you just relax and prepare yourself for the next year. I do applaud you for being able to sit through long form content though, unfortunately the rise of short form has really started to chip away at our attention spans

I’m starting college (technically uni level classes) next Thursday (Sept. 10) though elementary schools mostly start Tuesday (8th) the day after labor day which happens to be a week late this year. I see lots of uni students in my province moving out for orientation week this week though mine is next week (including residence move in). I don’t really understand the idea of starting school in August (which is an American thing from my perspective). Seriously when is midterms/finals and how long are your semesters?

@2006_Mandy haha i never really understood "oh school starts on august 4th for me!!" in America either. i'm Canadian but where i live, i always start school before labour day. though in places like Ontario and British Colombia they always start after labour day (so yes, september 8th this year). my school is roughly ten months, from very late august/very early september to the last week of june, and semesters are five months each. midterms, probably around the same time.as for the Americans, i'm pretty sure their schools are only nine months long (august to may, maybe?) and i think California has trimesters of three months |

@clean yeah I’m in Ontario and we mostly start after labor day though some school boards elected to start some or all schools the week before. We do have all year round schools that have more two week breaks or days off but that’s pretty rare, I believe only two schools for three large cities exist.
