Oh my- are you all right? I went to the ER when I was really young and too excited by a water slide at a pool to be careful around the stairs and ended up splitting my chin open 😅

I had an appendicitis scare in 2023/4, went to the ER, they couldn't find my appendix (ultrasound). I now get that pain around every two months, it's really not that bad, just unexpected stomach pain is scary because your stomach is pretty important. I also have a lot of experience with chronic pain that would probably send a normal person to the ER that is just day-to-day stuff for me, which I think does a pretty good job at the human range of pain tolerance. I can have my hips partially slip out of their sockets and be fine but the SECOND I realize I have a minor headache I'm incapacitated.

I have sadly been to the ER too many times to count (mostly because of mental health but not always). I sadly know the ins/outs of my local hospitals ER and some of the staff insgtantly recognize me which sucks. One of my worst memories is being taken out of an event centre during a school club field trip. Despite having been in the ER the night before they insisted on calling an ambulance when i asked for an antihistamine and my vitals were high. Both the day before and that day I was eventually cleared by a ER doctor but it was super embarassing and I was an adult yet a staff member was requireed to stay until my mom showed up. Another would be the day I was in a outpatient day program and I ended up barely sneaking out to the ER, instantly in triage the nurse was calling for a bed for me. I wake up after a super drowsy/sick episode and suddenly I'm fine, super embarassed and then I have to explain why I left the program I was in. |

@2006_Mandy I’m so sorry that this is happening to you😔. It truly is terrible when stuff happens to people like this and people mock others for stuff they can’t control. You have my prayers!!!!❤️

Sort of. When I was 3 (this was in Bangladesh), We went to a store. this particular store was my favorite, because it had an indoor playground, which was always fun. Until one occasion when I fell and hit my head on the corner of a square metal post and got a pretty large gash in the side of my head, just above my ear. I was bleeding quite a lot, as you might imagine, so a very helpful parent (I still have no idea who he was) quickly ran into the store to get some bandages and gauze. We then tried to find an ER where they could help me, but this was around Eid so almost everything was closed. Luckily, we found an open place and I got stitches there and I am fine now, except for a small scar.
