One time my family was in Florida so we decided to kayak in a part near the Everglades! (We wouldn’t run into an alligator or anything… right?) Naturally, we had a lovely experience with a behemoth of an alligator (the lady running the ticket booth later casually remarked “oh yeah, we’ve had a twelve footer hanging around here lately”) barreling towards the sunny spot we were in 🥰 It wasn’t that bad, but wrangling alligators was not on my spring break to-do list lolWhat crazy random situations have you guys accidentally ambled into? |

Peer-reviewed research out of the University of Florida has strongly suggested that alligators are dangerous, no matter how drunk we are.

I can only marvel at the sense of invulnerability some of us possess. Though I suppose she may have been doing your family a public service. There's an old Russian joke to the effect of two people fleeing for their lives from a hungry bear. One rhetorically asks why they're bothering--they can't possibly outrun a bear. The other proceeds to give him a shove and pragmatically announces that he doesn't have to outrun a bear: "I only have to outrun YOU." |

@GiuseppeK She scared it to the side but after she and her entourage left it decided to start going towards us instead 😅 The conversation with her was quite humorous though- “are you sure it’s safe?” “yeah, I scared him and as long as he’s not facing you or swimming towards you you’ll be fine” “…it’s turning to face us” “eh as long as it’s not swimming towards you!” “…it’s swimming towards us”

Well the one time we were at cabin with a giant rope swing, but the way it was tied it had a sharp hook underneath that seat, so my brother and I were playing a game where you had to run away from the person on the swing as it was coming to you, but he tripped and the hook caught his pants and ripped them!!!!🤣🤣
