So what abbreviation should we type if it *is* our intention to lie? Or would that defeat the purpose? Come to think of it, why is "abbreviation" such a long word? 🤔 |

Looks like it's a year old at this point, and since what the cool kids are saying is a constantly evolving beast, this is probably a woefully incomplete and rather poorly illustrated list someone compiled for our perusal:https://gabb.com/blog/teen-slang/ While it looks as though someone went through the trouble of censoring naughty words with asterisks, it's possible some objectionable language snuck through, so viewer discretion advised, of course. |

@MidnightTH Already tried that once (wanted to know why "phonetically" isn't spelled the way it sounds), but due to the ongoing limitations in technology (#15172), still waiting for something beyond the automated response I was given.H-I-I-M-N-O-T-B-Y-T-H-E-B-O-A-R-D-A-T-T-H-I-S-T-I-M-E-A-T-T-H-E-S-O-U-N-D-O-F-T-H-E-B-L-O-O-D-C-U-R-D-L-I-N-G-S-C-R-E-A-M-P-L-E-A-S-E- L-E-A-V-E-A-M-E-S-S-A-G-E |

@MidnightTH While I'm still waiting for something resembling a response, I feel quite blessed for the perfunctory reply. Far more satisfying than my first attempt to contact the spectral realm (humoring the hot goth girl--the things a boy will do for a pretty face... ❤️), when our efforts were largely hampered by a borderline illiterate spook. "Oh, Spirit! We implore you, stay with us! And just sound out the big words as best you can...!" |

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:English_internet_slang(not all are appropriate for braceletbook) The title of a topic is btw only meant as a short title that describes that content of the topic well. Think about it like the headline of an article, not the article itself. You want to only give the most relevant information in it as quickly as possible. If you keep the title short, you also won't struggle with running out of space. You could for example have made this topic like this: Title: guide needed to all the short ways to type things like idk Text: Hi, can anyone please give a guide to all the short ways of typing things like idk? (I know idk.) I will be very grateful for anyone who gives me a list. |

@MidnightTH Yes, someone needs to have a stern talking to regarding the English language lol. Like how people with a lisp probably can’t pronounce it, aibohphobia is the fear of palindromes (a word that is the same when spelled forwards and backwards), HIPPOPOTOMONSTROSESQUIPEDALIOPHOBIA IS THE FEAR OF LONG WORDS

@blackcat79 Wow I didn’t even know people could be scared of a word that is the same when spelled backwards and forwards! It’s mind blowing 🤯! All I have is claustrophobia, when it’s not people, so like boxes, rooms you get the picture!

@MidnightTH I’ve gone into many random phobia rabbit holes! For example, there is a fear of peanut butter being stuck on the roof of your mouth (arachibutyrophobia), the fear of the color yellow (xanthophobia), and a fear that somewhere, someway, somehow, a duck is always watching you 👀👀 (anatidaephobia)

@blackcat79 Ha I get that way with cats, although to be fair I live in a neighborhood with feral cats, but ducks is very interesting and definitely something u don’t hear everyday!

@MidnightTH I was kinda hoping it'd've gone the palindrome direction.

@blackcat79 While I don't hold anyone in particular to blame, it's amusing that "fat chance" and "slim chance" are basically the same thing, yet "wise man" and "wise guy" are opposites. 🤔
