I like to use bag sealing clips, which I can tape to any underground (table, book, my jeans, ...) with masking tabe or something similar. I don't use the clips that have ... Sort of a handle, but the ones that are just .. long. Difficult to describe without sending a picture 😅You can get them in various sizes, my small ones are great for keychains and small bracelets, and the large ones can even hold wall hangings of around 50 strings. They are super durable and don't damage the strings |

I usually use a safety pin and pin it to a pillow, it’s the most comfortable in my opinion and the most convenient to take with u on the go!

For wall hangings I use heavy duty tape to keep it down, such as Gorilla tape. For smaller bracelets I usually make the ends first and safety pin the to my jeans, (it can be a bit rough on the jeans if you pull hard) but it’s all in the name of progress and works for me.

I often attach them to my water bottle, depending on how often you have it on you, you'll always be able to work on your braclet, and its a-lot more sturdy than taping them.

@redsphinx You are a GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've tried various clipboard methods and they're all somewhat uncomfortable for how I sit, but the embroidery hoop works wonders!!!! THANK YOU

I normaly tape it to the table aswell. But when I am making a bracelet in my bed I just take a book that isn't shiny (it can com off) and has a hard cover, I tape it down and start knotting away ❤️

I use a little box with a lid that can come off easily but with keep a bracelet from moving as I work. I keep the bracelets I’m working on in the box so I can take all of them with me.

I too pull way too hard for tape to work and I only make Alphs as my normals twist. I am following this thread with hope as my current method isn't great. I sit in a reclining sofa and use a pill o pad which is mean for a tablet or phone etc and can be set at the ideal angle so i knot more vertically than horizontally. I have an A5 metal clipboard I rest on this but i use fold back binder clips to hold my work but it always pulls out at first. Once I can start folding the braclet over the clipboard it holds it ok. |
