Ok, so I was in the comments section of an alpha pattern and people were saying that the number of strings was wrong for the pattern. It wasn't. A common mistake people make is not actually counting the base strings, but going by the number it says at the top of the page. The number at the top of the page includes not only the base strings but the strings you will be tying in when they are necessary.

For example:

If I choose an alpha pattern that has two colors in it, and the amount of base strings is 9, the amount at the top of the page will say 11. THAT DOES NOT MEAN PUT 11 BASE STRINGS! You have to count the base strings to determine how many you will need. The other two colors make the number 11 at the top of the page.

Although it may not be a bad thing for one bracelet, don't get into the habit of doing it. Thanks for reading! (Also, I will accept any friend requests.)

At the beginning, I had a problem with that. Now I really like the fact that they add threads to the background ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
