Alpha base strings thickness

Which one produces neater results, when the base strings of an alpha is thicker/thinner/as thick as the working/weaving thread? Or it doesn’t matter and that it all depends on the knot tension? |

I think as long as your knot tension is the same throughout the alpha the size of the base strings shouldn't matter too much. the thicker the strings though the wider the bracelet will be. I tend to just use the same size for both but its really up to you 🙂

I use crotchet thread for my base strings and embroidery floss for the strings I weave with. I’ve never had any issues with them not being the same size. As long as you use the same brand for the base strings and the same brand for the leading strings, you’ll be okay.
