Normal Patterns where colors dont line up on bottom and top of pattern

I am STRUGGLING with making pattern #14670 and others where the order of the colors at the bottom of the pattern do not match up with the order at the top. I struggle so hard to figure out how to figure it out. I hope this makes sense to someone because it annoys me that I can't figure it out 😤 😢 does anyone have any tips/tricks/tutorials????

When the top and bottom strings don't match up that means that the pattern has different colours in each repeat. Once you get to the last row you start in row 1 again but you ignore the colours you see in the pattern. You do the knots you see in the pattern just with different colours.
