When I am done doing my alpha, how would I seal up the color switching knots on the back? I sealed my alpha up with clear nail polish but it was very uncomfortable. Any tips?

Some people just cut it and leave it like that. Since knots are usually pretty tight, it’s hard for them to come undone. You can also sew a piece of felt onto the back of ur bracelet to cover it up and make if softer! 😊

Hi @AbiPod! I have used metallic strings several times in my bracelets. One tip I have to avoid the strings fraying and thinning is tying a knot at the very end of each metallic string. Be aware that, when knotting your metalling strings onto your regular embroidery floss, craft string, etc., that you don't rub them together too hard when you are making the fours and Ps. This could cause your regular embroidery floss to thin because the toughness of the metallic strings could cut some of the tiny strings that make up the regular embroidery floss. Of course, this depends on the quality of the strings you are using, but even if they are super high quality, I would suggest avoiding that in general. The rubbing of the metallic strings against the regular string could cause the embroidery floss to fluff up, which could be pretty annoying when tying your knots. Those are pretty much all the obstacles I go through and try to avoid when tying bracelets with metallic strings. I hope this helped. Happy knotting! 😊- @Crafty_K |

I usually just cut them off when I'm finished with the bracelet. It isn't as bumpy when you wear it!

Sometimes you can cut off the strings. What I usually do is tie a super tiny baby-sized knot so that the string won't slip out. I personally think that this is far more comfortable than using nail polish.

When doing mine, I get some nail polish and coat the ends in that. I usually makes it stick to the Bracelet more and it keeps them from unraveling.

Usually I leave it as it is, but if it bothers me, I cut it down and seal it with nail polish. 🙂
