i want to make a normal pattern but i need to change the strings but its stuck on 8 and i dont know how to change it

@ndaniels go to "interactive normal" and click + on the right (or left*) to add more strings.*only even amounts won't scramble up the pattern You can also add strings in "normal", but it is a little more compliated. A normal pattern with 8 strings has 4 knots in odd rows and 3 knots in even rows. If you wanted for example 10 strings, you would need 5 knots in odd rows and 4 knots in even rows. |

@SShkz1380 there is a yellow box at the top. In that yellow box you find the critical warnings.If there is a yellow box with warnings you can't submit your pattern. You first need to solve all the issues before you can submit the pattern. In this tutorial in the part "yellow warnings" I described all critical warnings in the normal pattern generator and how to fix them: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/140_normal-pattern-warnings-and-how-to-fix-them/ The warnings in the alpha pattern generator are similar.
