@NB6056 thank you! I use the flat alpha technique and the straight edge technique. The thing that really helped me was loosening my knots. I used to tie them really tight and my bracelets looked bad. Once I loosened them though they looked much better. I mostly use the same brand of string so that they are the same thickness. I don’t know if this helps it to be more straight, but I use crochet thread for my base strings. It is much cheaper than embroidery thread. That’s all I have, hope this helps you! 😁
@Disney12 oh my goodness that is the neatest alpha bracelet I've ever seen 🤯 . any tips? i struggle with alpha patterns, especially ones with this many color switches.
@Aarzoo I followed a Russian tutorial (English subtitles) by 'HandMade Lenin' on YT 😄 It's quite simple - you knot a full row, then leaving out 6 strings in the middle, you knot two short rows on both sides with separate leading strings. Then, you divide those 6 strings in the middle to 2x3, and using fw/bw and bw/fw knots, you make a shaped hole - tutorial for that also here on BB, by EmmaWhite. Once done, you can make 4 more rows on each side with separate leading strings, then you can ditch one of them, and continue as usual.
How long did it take everyone to make it??? If it's not too long (like under 4 or 5 hours) I'll make it! If it's over that, I'll still totally consider making it!
@livi_502 I used the green as the real base strings and when I did the loop, I used the white string to knot over the green to get that effect. For the triangle starts after the loop, I used Masha Knots' technique on youtube where she was explaining how to do triangle starts on alpha bracelets. When I finished the bracelet, I just used the green base strings to make the ends. Hope that helps!
I'm so in love with this one. 😍 I too am discouraged by all the color changes; I guess I'll try using multicolor threads for the pink, the purple/blue and the green patches (and also the sky, just because I found an amazing pale blue shaded MC thread 😊), and see what comes out. I hope it's OK; I will post a photo of the result. 👍
