@inspiring You don't make any of the white knots or black knots. Where the white knots are you shape it by hiding the extra base strings in the first or last red knot of that row. Where the black knots are, you leave those strings loose so you can later make red knots there. For more info see the tutorial.
@aceofseas I've found that once you start to make the bracelet part it holds its shape.
You could sew it in place as you roll it up but I wouldn't go through the holes, just a few stitches should help.
I haven't tried glue but I think that should work too as long as you don't get glue on the loose strings if you're using those to make a bracelet
Another thing that might help with the knot that holds it together is to make a few knots over all 6 strings at the beginning of the pattern like I did at the end, and then roll it up and tie the knot.
This pattern is so cool!! I have a question, though, when you finish the flower and roll it, I can't get it to keep the shape, even if I make a knot like the tutorial said. I've tied it with strings of the same color and tried to make them go through holes, but I still needed to make it visible in a couple places... Did anyone have the same problem? How do you guys make it stay in place?
@goldflower Thank you! Thank you for the pattern! I first made a couple out of yarn for some knitted hats that were Christmas presents, and now this one is for a friend's baby 🙂
@knots_alot if I understood it correctly this is what you need to do:
- Red knots represent the amount of knots you need to do per row - if there are white knots in the pattern, the first/last knot of that row has to be over all the base strings that these knots would be on - if there are black knots in the pattern, you just leave the loose leading strings without making knots onto them
