I’m currently working on my ability to blend with pencils and doing abstract art, which I have not done in a while

GiuseppeK: @Sadieville Hopefully a non-issue, and while it might get me some hate, I'd strongly advise against including anything anime/manga in there, unless it's specifically for the program we're after (the consensus seems to be that it limits our ability to grow).

GiuseppeK: @Sadieville Sounds as though that would cover the bases. I'd guess the most important thing to consider is showing them a bit of your own creative process--what it is that makes the samples uniquely YOU.
