Emmaloves: @GiuseppeK Nah it it actually worked out really well. It was a struggle at first because nearly all the strings are 1 colour but there are clear lines of knot, so it was quite easy to do once I got the hang of it. Yeah, you can't really generalise segment/row-by-row, it is dependent on the pattern, but segment is genuienly so much faster and a lot of patters are clearly shapes so they're quite easy to segment

Calyre: @SpiderGwan It's possible I did it with the pattern #58527 (not the whole pattern) I found it very very difficult. It's possible but it takes time. I think it's better with keychains or bookmarks and without too many colors but it depends on the pattern

GiuseppeK: About halfway through #216584 (the sort of pattern where segment knotting can serve us well). We just need to remember F/B knots on the left side and B/F knots on the right whenever possible, to avoid wonky edges.

It could be I'm missing something, but to me it's silly anytime there's a new topic posted arguing about segment knotting Vs. row by row. It entirely depends on the pattern, and how we approach it.

But, I say it's better to frog, the mistake will only make everything worse, especially for normal. However, if it's only a few knots and you notice like 10+ rows later, maybe at that point it's better to leave it lol
