My two bracelets in the split photo with a measuring band is knotted with different sized threads. The widest is made with DMC Perle size 3. The skinniest is made with DMC embroidery floss (same size as DMC Perle size 5).
@AwesomeGrl sorry just saw your comment- I swapped the string but if you use color shifting string and align the color shifts you could get a similar effect too 🙂
