@madi-ware ahhh. so with this type of pattern if you decide the leave the strings to the side loose you do not tie it all the way to the top. so it would appear as a diamond with loose string to the side when knotted. however there is another way to make this pattern which is the shaped bracelet technique which masha knots has a youtube tutorial on. to do the shaped bracelets technique, you make a triangle start, knot the diamond and then end it with a triangle end. that way there are no loose strings to the side and you are left with just a diamond shape. hope that answered your question!
