you can pick any knot as the tip of your triangle start or end. It works just the same way when it's asymmetrical.

you pick any knot in the pattern to be the tip of your triangle and tie a triangle to that point. Afterwards you tie the edge of the triangle. It works the same way as on any other normal pattern.
