It's straight edge technique. you add one string at the both sides and do bf or fb knots (the zigzag's ends on the original pattern changes to bf knot on the left and fb on the right,). There's tutorial by halokiwi "The Straight Edges Technique". When i make bracelets the usual way they end up all wavy, so it's necessity in my case 😄
