@barneco You can still include full strings without splitting them. Just fold a double-length string hooked around another color so each color group ends up on opposite sides. Then add in the single odd strings right along with those that are folded in half, then knot the loop around all the strings together so the folds are in the center.
For me, my loop would be divided in 2 colors since the same color can't be on both sides. When you have the length of loop completed, gently tug each individual “short” string partway through the loop so the end is hidden somewhere inside the loop. (I usually tie a knot at the very end of the single so I don’t mistake it for a double-length) Then start knotting the pattern, but make sure not to pull the first half of knots too tight so you don’t pull the whole string out. 😊

@ekin Awesome colors! How'd you do the looped end for this pattern? I don't know how to make a looped end without having an even number of string per color, and this one has 3 each.
