I first saw friendship bracelet knotting as a student nurse in 1988 when an OT was showing a patient. Patient didn't care but I felt hungry to learn. I ran out of people to give them to and stopped making them till I rediscovered it around 2012. Again I loved doing it but got disheartened when I saw loads of cheap foreign imports that wouldn't even pay my thread bill. Rediscovered it again a few weeks ago and found the wealth of information and patterns on the internet and it is JUST what I need for my mental health at the moment. This time I dinnae care one whit whether they cost me money and no one wants to buy them off me. I'm just loving the process, the colours and the calm.
