Step 3: Knot the pattern first row
We will work from left to right, one row at the time, without changing direction.
Step 4: Tighten the loop
Tighten the loop around your finger: not too tight or you will make it too small. Then pin down your work ready for the next row.
Step 5: Next row
Start knotting the second row, again from left to right. (You are not changing direction, as is usually done in an alpha pattern.) You will have to change your pinning and rotate your work as you progress.
Note that there will be a misalignment in the pattern, as the beginning of the pattern is one row higher than the ending. (Once you know this, choose your pattern carefully so you can hide this feature.)

Step 6: Knot the pattern
One row at the time, each one from left to right, until the pattern is completed.
Step 7: Finishing
โข Tie the base string using forward/backward knots (from the normal pattern) on your last working thread.
โข Trim the loose ends, then either burn or glue them, according to your material.
