@glob You can do it either way. To make it bordered you have to use the technique you'd use for triangle ends. MashaKnots on YouTube has a video called "shaped bracelets tutorial" in which she explains how it's done.

I’m confused on how to make this. In the pattern it looks like there’s thread that is just carried a long ways beside the pattern, but then all the photos show it as a border? It’s really pretty
