I thought of putting it A color too, but I know people often fold strings in half and I thought it would be a mist usual choice as Halokiwi said ♥ But feel free to change to a A one if you prefer!
@halokiwi I know how 1212 patterns work. I just think the preview would look cleaner if the most right thread were A too. But I won't initiate a war about it.
@julofi for a typical 1212 pattern (a pattern with only fb and bf knots) it is common to have the string order abababab... This way any knot could have either of the two colours. For this pattern you could indeed make the right-most string colour a (or any other colour) because it doesn't make any knots anyways. There's no reason why it should be A. For a 1212 pattern, B is the most usual choice. In this specific pattern this also leads to there being 8 strings of each colour which can be very nice for a loop.
