@leviOsa_09 hi! after doing the red braid, i added the other strings and secured them by doing a forward knot of purple around the whole thing. then I did a triangle start, which is just the reverse of how you ended yours.

the end is tapered in the same way, but at the center i did another purple knot around the whole thing. i sorted whichever strings were long enough to braid (its a 3 strand braid, with 2 strings in each strand) and the leftovers are trimmed short enough to hide under the purple !

It was my first time using multicolored thread that I got inspired by @mrsrilling! Kinda messed up with the colorings but Really loved making this pattern and mixing it with autumn vibe!
