there is a way actually, now that i see it. you could start at the square and the last two knots after the /\ of the square you could just knot the dark blue over the other coloured thread. it will not alter the position of threads because at end of that line is another dark blue which you would anyway have to tie the primary thread with, whether you tie it on top of the coloured thread or not. (as in the coloured thread after the upper left edge of square is used as base string only instead of knotting it over the blue)

@sofizsofiz i dont think this pattern will make clean triangle start because there is no proper triangle that goes through the full width of the pattern. you could try a half triangle start (i think that is what it is called) by making the start like a candystripe which goes along the dark blue thread and then follow through with the pattern. or you could just do an uneven start, as in one side of it would have the dark blue thread along its edge, which could start from the square in the middle. i hope that helps. and aslo, i hope that it makes sense. |
