@halokiwi haha I'm sorry about that - i definitely see how this could come across as not-so-nice to others. Definitely besties now though just messing around ๐ love @laureels patterns and thought of a few changes that I personally would want if I were to make the patterns but thought they were super pretty concepts and nothing wrong with them!
@Laureel and @PuPotato I thought you were besties now (according to what Laureel wrote in the forum) ๐ I think you should be a bit nicer to each other. Not just for yourselves, but also to not make it seem like you are actually mean to each other. Without the context of you being friends, this exchange partially comes across as a little rude and might be confusing to other users.
Both your patterns are great btw ๐ I love that @PuPotato's pattern looks a bit like a daisy chain and @Laureel's pattern looks like scales!
@PuPotato I can 100% understand how you think symmetry in both direction would be a good idea, especially if you are into very basic patterns. I really tried to make my pattern a little interesting the horizontal asymmetry. I also really don't think you should be focusing too much on the knot structure of your bracelets when your pattern looks the way that it does now, but I appreciate your effort!
@Laureel No I totally get how you're thinking symmetry in one-dimension, but I've really chosen to go a step further with symmetry in both dimensions! It's actually a life-changer if you ever decide to try it out! I think it's a really interesting take on knotting when you have two strings of the same color crossing over each other, not on the edge, and you choose to use a fb knot! That's super interesting and not a technique I've seen employed often ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐คฎ ๐ ๐ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ
@PuPotato That is such a great thought! I guess when I really squint my eyes and forget what symmetry is, I can understand how you wouldn't think my pattern is symmetrical. I can assure though, my pattern is symmetrical. As for consistency, it's a pattern and repeats itself, so there really isn't a world that exists where my pattern wouldn't be consistent. It's a great idea though ๐ฅ
@Laureel I was super inspired by your pattern! I just thought a bit of symmetry and some consistency in the knot pattern could be a nice twist on your usual patterns but the thought was definitely there ๐
