Hello! This pattern was originally created for Masha knots' competition. Since this pattern is a bit confusing to make, here are some notes: contrary to what the automatic diagram BB shows, you will have to knot the separate "legs" with separate strings (not continuing with the same string for every knot in the row). I recommend starting with a straight edge and then finishing it by applying fabric glue / clear nail polish and maybe sewing over it (see picture that may or may not be posted before the comment, should be here at some point soon anyways). Important: if you start the first row with all the base strings, you will have to knot over 16 strings at once, which isn't ideal. I ended up starting with 24 base strings and then adding 4 to each side in 2 rows. (i.e. adding 4 base strings to each side in row 7, total 8 strings, and again in row 12. this will get the 40 without the bulk at the start). You will have to finish the added strings by glue / polish or weaving into the bracelet, i promise it isn't hard as it sounds โค๏ธ Of course, all of these things are completely optional and you could definitely make the bookmark without them.
