Hello everyone! This challenge is for anybody, but specifically targeted to those who have mastered the normal bracelet patterns but still have yet to attempt the cool imagery alpha patterns have to offer!Challenge Objective: Create a bracelet that has a readable image similar to an alpha, but created using the normal friendship bracelet technique: forward knot, backward knot, forward backward knot, and backward forward knot. Bracelet Format: The main goal is to avoid using the 1212 method; which is a bracelet created using only forward backward knots & backward forward knots. Yes, this method can help create a readable image but the goal is to challenge yourself and work on the technique to better prepare yourself to transition into creating alpha bracelets which use the forward & backward knot. If you’re only able to use the 1212 method you are still encouraged to join! However, that doesn’t stop you from participating more than once! How to Enter: 1. Comment in the forum which pattern you plan to complete 2. Create your bracelet! 3. Upload a photo of your completed bracelet to the patterns page of your bracelet design 4. Tag me in the comments of the pattern page (scroll to the bottom, it’s after similar patterns) My username is @416natalie Rules: - Follow the theme! NO Alpha Bracelets! - No deadline to enter - Unlimited entries - Repeats of patterns are allowed EVERYONE IS A WINNER! I’m a teacher so in my book everyone is a winner! BUT there are different awards/tiers based on your submissions 1212 Pattern: - Follow 1. Normal Bracelet 2-10 strings (or a bracelet that doesn’t meet the string color criteria): - Follow - 5 star rating on 3 of your patterns - 1 love on your pattern 2. Normal Bracelet 11-20 strings and 4 or more colors: - Follow - 5 star rating on 5 of your designs - 2 loves on your patterns 3. Normal Bracelet 21-40 strings and 5 or more colors: - Follow - 5 star rating on 10 of your patterns - 4 loves on your patterns - 2 comments on your patterns 4. Normal Bracelet 41+ strings and 6 or more colors: - Follow - 5 star rating on 15 of your patterns - 6 loves on your patterns - 5 comments on your patterns - 1 variation 🎉 If you complete & post a picture of ANY of my patterns I will add your username to the bio of my profile! @Msrtines Yes! I was able to get your message! There is no deadline! You can have as many entires as you'd like! However pattern #172269 is a 1212 design. After doing that one I would encourage you enter again using a design that doesn't consist of FB and BF knots. There are a lot of good examples of possible patterns that better fit the challenge.

@416natalie just a heads up: since every user is only allowed to host one challenge at a time, all challenges need to have a deadline, unless you plan to run this challenge and no other challenge forever 😉

@halokiwi well I've been on bracelet book for nearly 6 years now; when I first began my bracelet journey I never thought I was good enough to join a challenge since I have never gotten the hang of alpha bracelets and didn't stand a chance without being good at alpha patterns. I think it's only fitting keep this one going for every new person who joins! Because everyone deserves to be a winner! Cheers to the beginning of BraceletBook's longest running challenge! 😎 😜 🎉

@Msrtines in the challenge description there is a big section titled "inspiration" underneath are some good examples. If you need further explanation of what 1212 designs are and what the challenge brief is please reread the instructions in the initial post for this challenge! Hope this helps!
