Has anyone ever gotten a diy watch band connector, tied string to it, and made friendship bracelet watch bands?! I got the idea a while back and got the supplies to do it! I’m going to start today 🩷

I have, and it's very doable. I can think of at least two ways to go about it, depending on the kind of watch, but I believe it's best to treat the project as TWO bracelets that connect in the middle--looping the working threads over each of the pins (rather than individually weak, unknotted threads running across the back of the watch) makes for a more robust final product. 👍

I did this to an old analog watch of mine and it worked really well. I just used lark's head knots to fasten the thread and started knotting. It is a little annoying to tie on, but you can find tutorials on how to attach a buckle instead.

Thank you all sm! I started working on it about an hour or so ago… I just realized I did it with the clip backwards. I have about an inch worth of knotting done. Seriously thinking about taking it out and starting over (I don’t have any more string 😭)
