When you are making a pattern, its always assigned a number in the "edit normal pattern" menu. Like, the title of the page is Edit Normal Pattern #XXXXXX. Is there any significance to these numbers? Like the number of saved drafts of designs, etc.? Anyone know?

I did a little bit of testing and this seems like the case, but over 5 million drafts feels insane! Maybe one of the moderators knows and can answer me haha

To my knowledge, the numbers are assigned to a pattern to be able to locate it in the database, if you look at the newest patterns number, you can see how many patterns there are now, and this is a way to organise them.Hope this helps! ❤️ |

@harriet22 the number a pattern has when accepted and the number a pattern has when it is still in the generator is different. The number in the generator is the number of times someone has clicked "add a variation" or "new pattern". It's not the number of current drafts because that number changes. The number a pattern has when accepted is the number of patterns that have been accepted (including patterns that have been accepted and then deleted). |

@halokiwi ahhh, so it's the total number including submitted, deleted, etc. That makes much more sense than 5 million active drafts. Thanks for answering!
