Do you use skeins or bobbins to store your string? I personally use skiens, but sometimes I make a bobbin if the leading string in an alpha is really long. |

i like bobbins because it keeps the string from knotting together when you reuse the strings for more than one bracelet, also it’s easier to measure out your string, but it’s a pain to wind them. |

I use skeins, but man I wish I had bobbins. They seem a lot easier for the alphas that I mainly make, and no matter how hard I try when I unravel the string from being in a skein it always gets a knot |

A bit of both. I basically commandeered my mum's embroidery floss, and she kept her thread on bobbins, so I've stuck to that. But I won't bother to have put multiple skeins of the same color on bobbins. so I have a couple of bags of spare thread. I also won't bother to put to black and white onto bobbins as I use it so fast. I've made alphas with the leading string on bobbins, and personally I find it a bit tedious. |
