One of them is a love story that's about a 19 year old girl named Onyx who has magic that is uncontrollable and dangerous and she has no parents. SHE has a twin sister named Rhea and they are close. Ut things go bad for them one day when the council tells the girls that they have to leave the home they lived in since their parents died. THere the twins meet a guy named Cassius and a women named Selene. Selene is sweet but Cassius is cold and hard to everyone he meets, even though he has a high rank in the defense organization and training organization. Onyx works on her abilities, but the council starts to see her and realizes she needs more help, so the council forces Cassius to train Onyx to control her abilities. Cassius has a dark backstory and Onyx doesn't realize that until one day when Cassius takes Onyx to a place to that will force her into controlling her abilities in a different way. Onyx loses control and starts a storm. Lightning flashes and hits Cassius. She's scared she might have killed him so she cries. Cassius helps Onyx and the two became close. Cassius starts to share his story and Onyx shares her story with him, but not all of it. She starts to slowly trust him and Cassius starts to slowly fall in love with Onyx. 2 years later Onyx is in more control of her abilities and Cassius is becoming softer to others because he is letting his walls down. The Council starts to see Onyx as a threat once disasters around the globe have occurred and the Council thinks it's Onyx. A new apprentice shows up and Onyx dislikes him but Rhea falls in love with him. The girls start to fight because Rhea doesn't think that Onyx wants her to be happy since the council is basically ruining Onyx's life and she wants Rhea to feel miserable as well. Onyx tears apart once Rhea says she doen't want Onyx to be around her. She flees to Cassius and Cassius helps her. The council holds a mandatory Ball and everyone in the country is supposed to attend. Onyx, Cassius, Selene, and a women named Lysandra hate it but know they have to go. Onyx wears a stunning sapphire blue dress on that have onyx stones. Cassius wears a silver suit to the ball. The two dance together and have a nice moment, strengthening their bond. The council forbids Cassius from training Onyx because of his emotional attachment to Onyx. Cassius, Onyx, and Selene flee the manor and become fugitives. The three are trying to free the Shades that the council has been trying to destroy for centuries. The council realized that Onyx was a shade and tried to use her a a weapon against her own kind, so she fled. Cassius was a secret shade that hid is identity from the council so he could be free. The three flee to an island that Onyx fled to when she ran away from a home she went to after her parents had died. She lived there for years. She said that she lived with someone and the two became very close. Cassius confesses his feelings to Onyx and the two start their romantic relationship while being fugitives. As the story goes on, the three find four relics that have to be destoryed to destroy the gates around the Shadow Kingdom. The Shadow kingdom used to be a kingdom of it's own but the council became jealous of the amount of power the shades had so they locked them in the shadow kingdom and their home became their prison for centuries. There was a prophecy about Onyx and Cassius saying that the two would become the most powerful Shades and awaken beasts that the council tried to destroy but couldn't, so they but them to sleep. The beasts are dragons. The lovers free the dragons, destroy the relics andf free the shades after a long, hard war against the council. During the war Onyx is faced between blood and kin. Onyx tells Rhea if she wants to stay with her or with Hemlox (the new apprentice). Rhea couldn't choose so Onyx chose for her and left Rhea. Then during the battle Onyx comes face to face with Rhea, fighting her own sister. She lost all attatchment to her sister because Rhea didn't want to stay with her, so the twins fought. Hemlox turned Rhea against her own sister and she payed the price. Onyx sadly killed her own sister and never forgave herself after that, Cassius tried to comfort her but he got kidnapped. He faced the councilors when he got kidnapped. The councilors said that he had a choice: to leave Onyx and be with his former family again or lose them all once and for all and die. Cassius said that they couldn't bring back his dead wife and son and cursed them to hell. A few days later the council told Cassius that they were the ones who sent the fire to kill his family. Cassius was enrgaged with grief and fury and destroyed the prison he was in. During that time Onyx was furious and tried everything to find Cassius again. Hemlox found her and tried to make a deal with her: join the council and she could have her first love again, Lysara), or pay the price. She tells him that Lysara died because of the council and takes him prisoner. Onyx eventually find Cassius and the two tell each other everything. The two have a moment of peace and Cassius finds out the Hemlox is his long lost brother that supposedly died when he was three from a fire. Cassius doesn't know what to do with him so the fellow Shades who were not in the Shadow Kingdom took him away. They eventually find the last relic and free the prison. The final battle breaks out between the futgitives and the council and their followers. Dragons are awakened and the councilors die. Everyone is free. At the end of the book Cassius proposes to Onyx and she says yes. The shades tried to make Onyx and Cassius their new king and queen but they turned down the offer, saying they just want to live a nice happy life. They make Selene and Lysandra the queens of the kingdom. Cassius and Onyx live on an island along with the dragons that they awakened and lived happily ever after. Does anyone like it?

blackcat79 Professional	3 months ago by blackcat79 Everything starts somewhere and even if the outline of the story seems “boring” it’s up to the writer to come up with the intricacies of it (why I literally LOVE world building- the universe that you create and the characters within it are explicitly by your design, unique to you and no one else. Even if the original idea is something you’ve seen before, you can still twist it into something that is completely and undeniably your own!)

MidnightTH Professional	1 month ago by MidnightTH I’m writing mini versions of my book series called “The Heart of the Dragons.” It’s a story about two girls named Millie & Kadence, that have the power to turn into dragons, live in Scotland in present day, but the parliament have been searching for the last of the royal line of the Stonescales. ( that’s what I call people who can turn into dragons) The girls don’t know they are the last of line. They don’t even know they’re Stonescales! Until one day when a strange artifact washes up on the shore of the beach, so they took it to the library to see if it was in the book about artifacts around the world. The librarian came around to see what the girls were doing. She was shocked to see another Stonescale artifact just like hers. She sent them home as quickly as possible & told them to keep it the artifact hidden at all times because it would lead the parliament to the last of the Stonescales. That night Kadence was having a

Kadence was having a bad dream about a king dragon being killed by humans long ago, and when she woke up she was a bit hungry, so she went down to eat a peanut butter sandwich, but when she took a bite of her sandwich she bit the inside of her and it started bleeding, so she went to the closest mirror, but what she saw was nothing she ever expected. “Razor sharp teeth!” She thought to her self. She went directly to bed after that. Later that week Millie was getting fish & chips for lunch when she bit her mouth. She and that was it. Later that evening she was brushing her teeth when she finally noticed. Another week later Mille noticed Kadence acting really strange she seemed very skittish and never smiled at school anymore which was sad because Kadence had the school nicknamed of Sunny smiles. One day after school parliament had sent an inspector to ensure nobody had any Stonescale artifacts. Luckily Kadence had put in a spot not even mom & dad knew about, the inspection passed. Later that week their brothers, Merit & Judah, had annoyed the life out of Kadence and she yelled at them with a growling tone. Millie went back to the library to look up myths & legends, and there she found it the legend of the Stonescales. She read “the only way to tell the difference between humans & Stonescales are the razor sharp teeth that Stonescales have.” From that point she exactly what was going on. As she was walking down the sidewalk back to the house she saw parliament dragging Kadence down the street. That’s all I have right now I tell you more when I’m farther.

blackcat79 Professional	1 month ago by blackcat79 @MidnightTH I feel you- I have so much going on that I barely get any braceleting done, nevermind writing… Also, tysm! My friend and I did a ton of worldbuilding on it and though we don’t have much established plot, I’m super proud of the world we’ve created thus far! It’s really interesting how many times during our brainstorming process we would come up with a really cool idea that somehow managed to fix a plot hole perfectly lol
MidnightTH Professional	1 month ago by MidnightTH @blackcat79 One reason I haven’t continued(as fast as I would like to) is because I’m waiting for my cousin to finish with the new language. I won’t be seeing her for a few months, so it will be a while before I can continue. 😞 Friends are super helpful when it comes to brainstorming. I really want to finish so I can start on the second book.
