how are patterns chosen for official challenges?

@KrazyKnotz i haven't entered any of your challenges yet (i keep meaning to! i'll probably join the next one) but i'm just curious, how do you pick your patterns? is it by rank, theme, amt of colors, creativity, or smth else? not asking to see how i get my pattern chosen, i'm just genuinely curious abt the process (:

The official challenges are hosted by all the moderators, not just by KrazyKnotz.I think we all try to pick patterns that we think deserve more attention. We also tend to pick some patterns that fit the current season. We try to pick patterns of different sizes and varying difficulties, so there is a pattern for anyone who wants to participate. |
