Guys what happened to the difficulty rating on each pattern? Why do only super old patterns have a difficulty rating?

Yeah, same here, seems like all the more recent patterns don’t have difficulty ratings.

It's a happy coincidence that you brought this up @superme123 because just the other day, I had told the other mods that I had been thinking about this too!

I can't remember exactly why, but I think I remember it was because in the past, the admins were manually putting in the difficulty level for each pattern based on what they thought it should be, and it likely made the review process take too long.

I was thinking and recently said to the mods - wouldn't it be neat if users could affect the ratings? Like what if every time a photo was accepted, the user was then asked to score the patten based on difficulty (1 easy, 10 brutal). I think that would be fun, but also I've no idea if it's possible to make happen 🤪
