I was wondering if anyone else has ever dyed their own thread and if so what method you used ? I’ve dyed some with alcohol ink and with the ice tie dye method and I’m very happy with the results |

I've dyed my own floss too, and have used the exact same methods as you, and it works really well, had had no problems whatsoever with them. Personally I like the ice tie dye method best as it gives the thread a more galaxy feel, and I love that look! 😍I know some people who use fruit and vegetables as dyes, never tried that myself lol, so not sure how well that works. Apart from those, I am not sure of any other method. 🤔 |

I have dyed things with food coloring and water, would it work on embroidery floss?

@CraftsyCat I assume it would. I’ve used isopropyl alcohol and gel food coloring on canvas before with good results
