How to Clean Normal/Alpha Patterns?

Some of the keychains and bracelets I've made have just gotten dirty over time and I was wondering how some of y'all clean your normal/alpha patterns? I've never cleaned any of my keychains and bracelets before, but I'd guess hand washing them with hand soap is an option. Is it possible to throw them in with my laundry in the washing machine?

I'm not a professional, but I've left my bracelets in the washer a l o t of times. If they don't have metal keychains on them you could wash them in there? I'd just worry about the metal getting caught in the string. Maybe just not by themselves?? I also found washing them with soap and water works just fine, but over time you may see discoloration to the string and they take several hours to fully dry on their own.
