Has anybody read The Wheel of Time?

I was recommended a book series called The Whee of Time, and told it was really good. The only problem is that the series is 14 (15 including the prequel) books long and iโm not sure i could commit to a series that large. Has anybody read it and can for sure say itโs worth it?
