Slaughterhouse-Five was my most recent read, I'm reading Catch 22 now and I highly recommend them both. Very good to make you think, cry, and need to cope. I also recently read the memoir Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant? by Roz Chast, a fully illustrated and handwritten account of her life as her parents grew old and ultimately passed away. Definitely good to move around some emotional constipation, and it unlocked grief I didn't even know I had the capacity to feel

I really recommend the Powerless trilogy by Lauren Roberts, as well as the Inheritance Games series, Shatter me and The Cruel Prince if you’re looking for YA (young adult) books! I read all of these books except the whole Inheritance Games series (only read the first book) and I really loved them! 😊

Recently i discovered a new favorite, a WWII story called This Light Between Us by Andrew Fukuda. It is YA and there is some very mild swearing. @Sadieville if you like WWII/Holocaust i think you might like it, too.I did Also recently read the Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer and i really enjoyed it. it is YA sci-fi with hints of romance. |

I love all of the Inheritance Games books, I’m so excited for the final one to be released summer of next year, and other really good books are the selection series, all of the rick riordan books (so I’m talking about percy jackson, heroes of olympus, magnus chase, the kane chronicles, the trials of apollo, and basically all of the books in that universe), and all of the jane austen books if you like the classics.

books, but i also recommend all of neal shusterman’s books (the scythe trilogy is really good but so are all of his standalone books!) if you’re into space novels/scifi id also recommend the aurora cycle series (i think that’s what it’s called - the first book is aurora rising) by amie kaufman and jay kristoff. i have so many more book recommendations where that came from oml
